About us
Constitution computing was established in late 2000 by Chris and Nick Fryer as a website development company.
Early 1998 Nick started a certificate course in Information Technology (Software Development), Chris commenced
a science degree at Monash University but after a month or so Chris decided to do information technology along
with Nick. During that year we both learnt c++, visual basic and data basing. The following year we went on to
do the Diploma in Information Technology in which we did a major project together, In the major project, which
was for the CFA, we learnt management techniques and were taught more complex c++ programming and data basing
techniques.
At the start of 2000 we were both employed by a company called Mission Internet Marketing, now known as Internet
Vision Technologies (IVT). IVT specialise in generating web sites in a language known as php3. This programming
language is very much like c++ mixed with html and a bit of CGI. We soon mastered php3 and have since developed
numerous web sites using this scripting language. Since we were working part time for ITV, we had quite a bit of spare time so we decided to go in to
business for our selves, thus Constitution Computing was born.
At the end of 2001 we both decided to enrol in the Diploma of Multimedia to further our graphical design skills.
During the next two years, we learned about video production, 2-D and 3-D animation, interactive animation,
graphical design, digital video editing and manipulation. In the last six months of the course, we were required
to do a major project, this time we did it in a group of three for Saint Bernadette's Catholic Primary School.
The project included helping level five/six students in making short films, we were then required to produce an
interactive CD which allowed them to browse all the movies they produced on the one disk.
During this full-time course we were also busy working on our business as well, since we started we have produced
over 20 websites, and have also expanded into the Software Industry developing databases for ACI Mould
Manufacturing.
